Single sign-on sign-on
"Single sign-on" or "single sign-on registration or "authentication" refers to procedures that allow users to register with a provider of single sign-on procedures (e.g. a social network), including our online offer, with the help of a user account. The prerequisite for single sign-on authentication is that the users are registered with the respective single sign-on provider and enter the required access data in the online form provided for this purpose, or are already logged in to the single sign-on provider and confirm the single sign-on registration via button.
Authentication is carried out directly with the respective single sign-on provider. As part of such authentication, we receive a user ID with the information that the user is logged in to the respective single sign-on provider under this user ID and an ID (so-called "user handle") that can no longer be used by us for other purposes. Whether additional data is transmitted to us depends solely on the single sign-on procedure used, on the selected data releases in the context of authentication and also on which data users have released in the privacy or other settings of the user account with the single sign-on provider. It can be different data depending on the single sign-on provider and the choice of users, usually it is the e-mail address and the user name. The password entered as part of the single sign-on procedure with the single sign-on provider is neither visible to us nor is it stored by us.
Users are requested to note that their information stored by us can be automatically compared with their user account with the single sign-on provider, but this is not always possible or actually takes place. If, for example, the e-mail addresses of the users change, they must change them manually in their user account with us.
If agreed with the users, we can use the single sign-on registration within the framework of or before the fulfilment of the contract, if the users have been asked to do so, within the framework of consent and otherwise use it on the basis of the legitimate interests on our part and the interests of the users in an effective and secure registration system.
Should users decide that they no longer want to use the linking of their user account with the single sign-on provider for the single sign-on procedure, they must cancel this connection within their user account with the single sign-on provider. If users wish to delete their data with us, they must cancel their registration with us.

Web analysis, monitoring and optimization
The web analysis (also referred to as "reach measurement") serves to evaluate the visitor flows of our online offer and can include behavior, interests or demographic information about the visitors, such as .B age or gender, as pseudonymous values. With the help of the reach analysis, we can, for example.B, recognize at what time our online offer or its functions or content are most frequently used or invite reuse. We can also understand which areas need to be optimised.
In addition to web analysis, we can also use test procedures to test and optimize, for example.B, different versions of our online offer or its components.
Unless otherwise stated below, profiles, i.e. data combined into a usage process, can be created for these purposes and information can be stored in a browser or in a terminal device and read from it. The information collected includes, in particular, websites visited and elements used there as well as technical information such as the browser used, the computer system used and information on times of use. If users have consented to the collection of their location data to us or to the providers of the services we use, location data may also be processed.
The IP addresses of the users are also stored. However, we use an IP masking procedure (i.e., Pseudonymization by shortening the IP address) to protect users. In general, in the context of web analysis, A/B testing and optimization, no clear data of the users (such as e.B e-mail addresses or names) are stored, but pseudonyms. This means that we as well as the providers of the software used do not know the actual identity of the users, but only the information stored in their profiles for the purposes of the respective procedures.
- Types of data processed: Usage data (e.g. websites visited, interest in content, access times); Meta/communication data (e.g. device information, IP addresses).
- Data subjects: Users (e.B. website visitors, users of online services).
- Purposes of processing: Reach measurement (e.g. access statistics, recognition of returning visitors); Profiles with user-related information (creation of user profiles); Provision of our online offer and user-friendliness; A/B testing; Feedback (e.g. collecting feedback via online form); Heatmaps (mouse movements on the part of users, which are combined into an overall picture.); Tracking (e.B. interest/behavioural profiling, use of cookies).
- Security measures: IP masking (pseudonymization of the IP address).
- Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR); Legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR).

- Google Analytics 4: We use Google Analytics to perform a user analysis based on a pseudonymous user identification number. This identification number does not contain any unique data, such as names or e-mail addresses. It is used to assign analysis information to a terminal device in order to recognize which content the users have called up within one or more usage processes, which search terms they have used, called them up again or have interacted with our online offer. Likewise, the time of use and its duration are stored, as well as the sources of the users who refer to our online offer and technical aspects of their end devices and browsers. Pseudonymous profiles of users are created with information from the use of different devices, whereby cookies can be used. Analytics provides higher-level geographic location data by collecting the following metadata using IP search: "City" (and the city's derived latitude and longitude), "Continent," "Country," "Region," "Subcontinent" (and the ID-based equivalents). In order to ensure the protection of user data in the EU, Google receives and processes all user data via domains and servers within the EU. The IP address of the users is not logged and is shortened by the last two digits by default. The shortening of the IP address takes place on EU servers for EU users. In addition, all sensitive data collected from users in the EU will be deleted before being collected through EU domains and servers; Service provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, parent company: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; Legal bases: Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR); Website: https://marketingplatform.google.com/intl/de/about/analytics/; Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy; Order Processing Agreement: https://business.safety.google/adsprocessorterms/; Standard contractual clauses (ensuring a level of data protection when processed in third countries): https://business.safety.google/adsprocessorterms; Possibility of objection (opt-out): Opt-out plugin: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de, settings for displaying advertisements: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated; Further information: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/adsservices (types of processing and data processed).

Online marketing
We process personal data for online marketing purposes, which may include, in particular, the marketing of advertising space or the presentation of advertising and other content (collectively referred to as "content") based on potential interests of users and the measurement of their effectiveness.
For these purposes, so-called user profiles are created and stored in a file (so-called "cookie") or similar methods are used by means of which the information relevant for the presentation of the aforementioned contents is stored about the user. This information may include, for example, content viewed, websites visited, online networks used, but also communication partners and technical information such as the browser used, the computer system used as well as information on times of use and functions used. If users have consented to the collection of their location data, these can also be processed.
The IP addresses of the users are also stored. However, we use available IP masking methods (i.e., Pseudonymization by shortening the IP address) to protect users. In general, no clear data of the users (such as e.B e-mail addresses or names) are stored as part of the online marketing procedure, but pseudonyms. This means that we as well as the providers of the online marketing procedures do not know the actual identity of the users, but only the information stored in their profiles.
The information in the profiles is usually stored in the cookies or by means of similar methods. These cookies can later generally also be used on other websites that use the same online marketing method, read it and analyzed it for the purpose of displaying content, as well as supplemented with further data and on the server of the online marketing process provider. stored.
Exceptionally, clear data can be assigned to the profiles. This is the case if the users are, for example.B, members of a social network whose online marketing procedures we use and the network connects the profiles of the users with the aforementioned information. We ask you to note that users can make additional agreements with the providers, e.B. by giving their consent as part of the registration.
In principle, we only have access to aggregated information about the success of our ads. However, in the context of so-called conversion measurements, we can check which of our online marketing procedures have led to a so-called conversion, i.e.B., to the conclusion of a contract with us. Conversion measurement is used solely to analyze the success of our marketing efforts.
Unless otherwise stated, we ask you to assume that cookies used will be stored for a period of two years.

- Rating widget: We integrate so-called "rating widgets" into our online offer. A widget is a functional and content element integrated into our online offer that displays changeable information. This is the only way to always show the current content, especially the current rating. For this purpose, a data connection must be established from the website accessed within our online offer to the server of the widget provider and the widget provider receives certain technical data (access data, including IP address) that are necessary for the content of the widget to be delivered to the user's browser. Furthermore, the widget provider receives information that users have visited our online offer. This information can be stored in a cookie and used by the widgets provider to recognize which online offers that participate in the evaluation process have been visited by the user. Presence in social networks (social media)
We maintain online presences within social networks and process users' data in this context in order to communicate with the users active there or to offer information about us.
We would like to point out that it allows users ' data to be processed outside the European Union area. This can create risks for users, as this could .B make it more difficult to enforce users' rights.
Furthermore, users' data within social networks is usually processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example.B user profiles can be created on the basis of the usage behavior and the resulting interests of the users. The usage profiles can in turn be used to, for example.B, place advertisements inside and outside the networks that presumably correspond to the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on users ' computers, in which users ' usage behaviour and interests are stored. Furthermore, data may also be stored in the user profiles independently of the devices used by the users (in particular, if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them).
For a detailed presentation of the respective processing forms and the possibilities of opposition (opt-out), we refer to the data protection declarations and information provided by the operators of the respective networks.
We also point out that in the case of requests for information and the assertion of data subject rights, we would like to point out that these can be claimed most effectively from the providers. Only providers have access to users ' data and can take direct action and provide information. If you still need help, you can contact us.

We include functional and content elements in our online offering that are obtained from the servers of their respective providers (hereinafter referred to as "Third Party Providers"). For example, these may be graphics, videos, or city maps (hereinafter referred to uniformly as "content").
The integration always presupposes that the third-party providers of this content process the IP address of the users, since they could not send the content to their browser without the IP address. The IP address is therefore required for the presentation of this content or functions. We make every effort to use only those contents whose respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the content. Third parties may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. The "pixel tags" can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may also be stored in cookies on the user's device and, among other things, technical information about the browser and operating system, websites to be referred to, the time of the visit as well as other information on the use of our online offer as well as be associated with such information from other sources.

Definitions
This section provides an overview of the terms used in this Privacy Policy. Many of the terms are taken from the law and are defined above all in Article 4 GDPR. The legal definitions are binding. The following explanations, on the other hand, are primarily intended to serve as an understanding. The terms are sorted alphabetically.
- A/B testing: A/B tests are used to improve the user-friendliness and performance of online offers. For example, users are shown different versions of a website or its elements, such as input forms, on which the placement of the content or the labels of the navigation elements may differ. Subsequently, based on the behavior of the users, e.g. longer stay on the website or more frequent interaction with the elements, it can be determined which of these websites or elements more correspond to the needs of the users.
- Heatmaps: "Heatmaps" are mouse movements of the users, which are combined into an overall picture, with the help of which, for example, it can be recognized which website elements are preferred and which website elements users prefer less.
- Conversion measurement: Conversion measurement (also known as "visit action evaluation") is a method by which the effectiveness of marketing measures can be determined. As a rule, a cookie is stored on the devices of the users within the websites on which the marketing measures are carried out and then retrieved again on the target website. For example, this allows us to track whether the ads we placed on other websites have been successful.
- Personal data: "Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter referred to as "data subject"); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier (e.B. cookie) or to one or more special features that express the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
- Profiles with user-related information: The processing of "profiles with user-related information", or "profiles" for short, includes any type of automated processing of personal data consisting in the use of these personal data to address certain personal aspects relating to a natural person (depending on the type of profiling, different information relating to demographics, behaviour and interests, such as.B. the interaction with websites and their contents, etc.) analyze, evaluate or predict (e.B interests in certain content or products, click behavior on a website or location).
